The whisk is made from bamboo and consists of thin, delicate tines that are carefully shaped and bound together. It is used to whisk matcha powder together with warm water to create a smooth, frothy tea. Before use: Place the bamboo whisk in a bowl of warm water (about 80C) for a couple of minutes. This helps the tines soften and open up, making the whisk ready for use.
