Description
oolong tea and caramelized mandarin orange - we associate with this vintage
sappy and youthfully austere finale that displays fine length
the Chaillot
this wine offers a promising juxtaposition of California fruit with Bordelais sensibilities regarding structure and aging
Caroline Morey, Chassagne Montrachet Champs Gains Vintage:2017 oolong tea and caramelized mandarin(from vines planted in 2009). An airy and pretty if not especially dense nose combines notes of white orchard fruit, especially pear, with those of citrus, wood and resin. The delicious and round flavors also display good punch that contrast somewhat with the youthfully austere and reasonably long finish. This will need to add depth if it is to merit the upper end of my projected range. (89 92) 2024+
