very much the same style Filiberti pursues at Anthill

A ripe but cool and even spicier nose offers up notes of anise and hoisin on the pretty aromas of black pinot fruit and violet nuances

decant the 2007 so that it loses those inhibitions

but I was expecting more from this cru

Bouchard Pere et Fils, Beaune Marconnets Vintage:2021 very much the same style(from a 2. 3 ha holding). Here there is enough reduction to mask the underlying fruit. More interesting are the attractively detailed and notably more mineral driven flavors that arent as rich though they are finer and particularly so on the youthfully austere and lingering finish. This too could use more depth but more should reasonably develop if given a chance.
